Indigo Shibori Dyeing – Arashi Technique

Level: Beginner to Intermediate

You will learn how to make the indigo vat and discover the ease of making your own vat and keeping it “going”. Shibori techniques you will learn include Arashi – plastic cylinder binding. No previous dyeing experience is necessary. If you have done some shibori, this class is a way to further develop your skills in the art of Japanese Shibori.

Included:  All Dye materials  One Scarf and one yard of cotton fabric will be included in the material fee.  You may also bring an article of clothing you wish to upcycle with shibori dyeing!
